About Respec

Respec is a small-form-factor PC builder in Chicago. We build gaming machines and workstations by hand, to an exact parts list, in enclosures small enough to live on a desk — and we prove each one works before it ships or is picked up.
Small on purpose
A tower is mostly air. Every Respec machine is engineered into a compact enclosure without giving up the parts that matter — the same performance, on the desk instead of under it.
You pick the performance and the form factor
Choose the tier that matches your workload and the enclosure that matches your space. We handle the parts of the build that are easy to get wrong: cooling, clearances, power, airflow, cable routing.
Every part listed, nothing swapped behind your back
Every component meets or exceeds the specification on the product page. If an approved model has to change for availability, you hear it from us and approve it before the build starts — not after it arrives.
Proof of your actual machine
Every build is assembled by hand, then tested with MemTest86, 3DMark and FurMark. You get the component serials, a capture of the running system, those benchmark results and a video walkthrough of the unit with your name on it — before it ships or is handed over for pickup.
